Story
Late Medieval Europe
In a small town the plague epidemic reaches its height.
All citizens lay the blame for the disaster on the magicians and witches,
who allegedly plagued the town.
They are chased by the town men whose leader is the fanatic Inquisitor.

The homeless boy Lucas steals the Magic Book from the house of the white magician called Zigmund.
Having read the spell he starts seeing the secret world of shadows around.
Due to his new ability Lucas realizes that by ruling the shadows one can rule the real things and events.
The Magic Book makes his dreams come true.
But because of his inexperience and self-confidence Lucas looses his own shadow,
which means he loses his own soul – the death demon steals it.
Lucas has to choose weather to stay in the town
and die at the dawn or to give chase to the demon and get his shadow back.

State of the Project at the Moment

2006 The project exists since 2006 as the script, the first versions of the exposure shit, the work-out of the characters and the general stylistics of the animation

2007 –The first animation.

The aim – to find the indicative characters’ movements
and explain the rules of game in the film to the viewers

2008 Winter-summer
The grant from the Program Stypendialny Ministra Kultury "Gaude
   Polonia" (Poland) is won. As a result the 5-minute pilot is created.
   The pilot was post- synchronized by the DagaDana band (Poland/Ukraine).

Autumn 2008
The pilot was presented at the International festival KROK-2008.
                                      The audience perception was positive.

2009
Exchange forum "Perspectives for Animated Film"participant

Animation Coproduction Forum Eastern Europe («The Book of Shadows»project’s pitching)
